Colon Cancer Surgery

Watching the Colon Cancer Surgery which completely grossed me out but was astonished by the procedures of how it took place. I was surprised by how it was done by putting a camera and the surgeons looked that the television screen instead of directly looking at the body. The most amazing part was when the stomach inflated by the carbon dioxide put into the abdomen to create space.

This shows how the colon cancer spreads from stage 1-4

From the colouring sheets and notes, I knew which part of our digestive system the surgery was being taken place and where the roles of each is. An interesting part in the surgery was how they stapled to separate the colon and then cut it out. It was interesting but I will never think of a stapler the same way. I learned that there is colon cancer. This live screening is causing awareness to people like me and that there are no severe symptoms of colon cancer; you may just have it and never know until you get it checked.
